Paris Gray is a community leader and public servant running for City Council District 8, where he currently serves as Community Outreach Coordinator. Born and raised in Baltimore, he lives in Rognel Heights with his wife Lindsey.

As your next Councilman, Paris will focus on Schools, Safety and Service.

Schools:

Our students need and deserve a world-class education, fully-funded and with modern, well-maintained school buildings. Paris will work with our State Representatives to fight for our schools, and hold school leadership accountable.

Safety:

We need to try new approaches to fighting crime, because the same thinking has not worked. Paris will implementlocal control of the Baltimore Police Department, collaborate with community-based anti-violence groups, and build resources and supports for our youth like mentoring and job training.

Services:

Paris believes in public service, and he has taken the initiative to address District 8’s most pressing needs in his current role. He initiatied the Edmondson Avenue Taskforce, bringing communities together to fight blight. He also established the District 8 Job and Resource Fairs, connecting our neighbors to opportunity. Paris is committed to community.
